Drying Systems for Bottles
Bottle Drying Systems are industrial drying systems designed and engineered to create air jets that effectively remove 99%+ of moisture from bottles as they pass along a conveyor belt.
An essential part of the food and beverage manufacturing process, they are used for a wide range of purposes. This includes drying bottles after cleaning, preparing bottles for labelling, preventing moisture contamination and corrosion, and ensuring even distribution of coatings.
Bottle Drying Systems - The Benefits
Our Air Knife bottle drying systems provide significant value and benefits for food and beverage companies. They reduce waste and spoiled products by eliminating water damage and corrosion damage to bottles after the cleaning or filling process. They also help ensure that bottles are not rejected as a result of incorrect labelling, label slippage, or label misapplication.
The control of moisture at this stage of the production line also significantly reduces the possibility of water migration onto other machine components downstream, therefore also reducing potential mechanical downtime and disruption.
Modular Bottle & Can Drying Systems
As industrial drying systems provide a key function for food and beverage production lines they are often ‘modular’ in nature. This means they are designed and built to be easily added into existing lines, moved, customised, or adapted to work with different shaped and sized objects. Drying systems are therefore able to work with a range of packing and materials, from glass bottles or jars to PET bottles and aluminium or tin cans, ensuring all objects meet the necessary standards from preparation through to quality control.
Our bespoke Air Knife Drying systems can also be designed and configured to enable the processing of multiple products within the same system. Allowing the switching between one product and another to be a relatively simple process - saving both costs and the floor space required.
Glass Bottle Drying Systems
Noise can be a significant issue when processing glass bottles, and so bottle drying systems where the material is predominantly glass usually comes with an enclosure that is sound-proofed.
Enclosures are often made of stainless steel which is not only easy to maintain, but assists in creating a hygienic environment for the bottles to be dried in. Enclosures also assist in ensuring the safety of personnel.
What exactly are Air Knife Drying Systems for Bottle Drying?
Air Knife Drying Systems are highly effective and energy efficient drying, cleaning and blow-off systems that are often used for bottle drying. Air Knife Drying Systems use air blades linked to high speed energy efficient Air Blowers, to sheer moisture from the surface of bottles, providing a powerful drying zone for bottles to pass through on a production line.
Industrial Air Knife Drying Systems are popular because they provide adaptable and hygenic performance for bottle drying. They are easy to install, low-maintenance, space-efficient, providing reliable performance. They also generate cost savings through low energy usage, improvements to the manufacturing process in overall quality of products, and by minimising disruption that can occur as part of the cleaning, drying, labelling and quality control process.
Drying Systems can be installed with an enclosure, or partial enclosure if this is required for a particular application. This is common for example with glass bottle drying.

Beer Bottle Drying
Bottle drying systems come in a range of sizes depending on the needs of the production line.
Our industrial bottle drying systems can handle production line speeds of upto 120,000 bottles per hour, ensuring the highest performance in cleaning, drying and blow-off on a wide range of bottles.
For smaller production line drying requirements we offer small, compact Air Knife Bottle Drying Systems such as the Eco-Blow. Perfect for smaller operations, they offer bottle drying for craft beer, smaller breweries or wineries. Designed to work with production rates of 3,000 bottles per hour with a typical beer bottle size of 330ml/500ml. They are also suitable for processing standard sized wine bottles.
PET/Plastic Bottle Drying
Drying PET/Plastic bottles is a key requirement for food companies. Removing liquids following rinsing, and ensuring bottles are dry after filling, is essential to minimising disruption on production lines dealing with plastic and PET bottles. Not only does this prevent spoilage from condensation when applying labels and codes, but it also ensures the final product meets quality standards in both appearance and usage.
